Final Score 3-0

Good result, the sort of result we were getting early in the season. Back up into 4th (on goal difference) and with Pav looking dangerous in the small amount of time he got on the pitch hopefully he'll get a few more starts.

Modric came on in the second half and showed some of the quality we saw before his injury, an on form Modric could really boost our chances of getting champions league football. Also with Lennon on his way back we can push on and pull away from this group chasing 4th

Man Of The Match: Gareth Bale (could be Pav but wasn't on for long enough, although scored two goals)

Wigan V Spurs Half Time Report

1-0

Bale has been immense at left back. getting down the left flank with unstoppable speed. must be best left back on form in the league.

So the goal.....2 yards offside, think we needed a bit of luck at the moment. Though bale with the assist, yet again, with lennon out he seems to be the most affective attacking player in our squad. And as he's a left back that shows how much we've been missing young Aaron.

For the second half;
I hope Pav gets a run out, his creativity could give use more of an option than crouch upfront. Even Gudjonson could give us that edge to get that second goal we've usually struggle with

Final Result Prediction; 2-0

Champions League Hopes

So harry thinks we still have a chance at grabbing 4th but with man city and liverpool ahead of us its looking a more and more distant hope. I still think if we regain our early season form then we can out-do the two northern teams. it would be harry's greatest achievement and if we won the FA cup in the same year. It would be the best year for spurs, since ive been alive atleast, and with a new stadium on the way (hopefully) i think we should be able to push on and become a perennial champions league team.

PS. on the Woodgate saga, im seeing more and more stories about him considering/being forced into retirement by this ongoing groin injury. now i know we are now quite well covered with kaboul being added in the jan window, i think it would be a massive shame to lose such a great player from the team.

Wigan V Tottenham

yet again a sunday game, i get so pissed off with the amount of sunday games we have and i dont really know why. we'll be playing in the mud pit that is wigan's pitch, not exactly the best for flowing football but then again were now a "long ball team", so expect lots of balls up to crouchy. hopefully defoe will be able to use his speed and intelligence to get the better of the wigan defence, as were still without lennon i feel he's our best shot of breaking them down.
my expected line up (the usual basically):
                        Gomes
Corluka    Dawson   King   Bale
Bentley    Hudd        Palacios  Modric
           Defoe             Crouch

let me know who you want to play

Where have all the goals gone?

do you remember the beginning of the season where it was a case of if we can score more goals than the opposition? Somehow this has transformed into, the far less exciting, lets look to keep a clean sheet and hope we score the odd goal.

Is it just me or does this seem like a step backwards. It seems harry's taking a more cautious approach to our games and I fear it may cost us a champions league spot. we have managed to amass a great squad of player and we now have teams coming to the lane and defending for their lives. This is my point, surely we should be playing more expansively, in our home games atleast, perhaps dropping one of the two central defensively minded midfielders and playing with maybe kranjcar in the centre. We are now in a position to push on and we should be bold and go for it.

together we can do it! COYS
